When she was just 26 years old, Rachel Muir launched Girlstart, a non-profit organization to empower girls in math, science, engineering and technology in the living room of her apartment with $500 and a credit card. She’s raised over 10 million dollars and has been featured on Oprah, CNN, the Today show and in twelve years at the helm of running a million dollar company, she empowered over 18,000 girls, families and teachers.
Featured in CosmoGIRL!, Texas Monthly, Glamour, The Dallas Morning News, Muir was described by the Austin Chronicle as a “bona fide media darling” and named one of Austin Monthly Magazine’s “Most Loved Women.” Her success has not gone unnoticed.
